Prayer for Wisdom

A Prayer for Wisdom

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault…”

James 1:5

There are moments in our life when our next step isn’t always obvious.

Some decisions are small, while others shape the seasons that lay ahead. In those moments it’s comforting to remember that God doesn’t expect us to have every answer.

Instead, He lovingly welcomes us to come to Him and ask for wisdom.

Whether you’re facing a difficult decision, perhaps waiting for clarity, or simply wanting to honour God in your everyday choices, may this prayer encourage your heart.

A Prayer for Wisdom

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for your generosity and kindness. Thak you Lord, that we can come to you in any moment of of day and ask for Your wisome.

Today I place my decisions at Your feet.

Guide my thoughts when I feel uncertain.

Give me clarity when I feel confused.

Help me to recognise the path that honours You and brings true peace to my heart.

Keep me from rushing ahead in fear or holding back because of doubt. Lord please teach me to trust Your timing and to walk one faithful step at a time.

Thank you Lord that I am not alone and that you will never leave me to figure life out by myself.

May my words, my choices, and my actions reflect Your wisdom today.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

A Gentle Thought

Not every answer comes immediately.

Sometimes wisdom grows quietly as we continue walking with God, listening carefully, and trusting Him with our next step.

May His wisdom guide you today.
